Utah Microcredentials: Earning Credits, Endorsements, and APPEL Competencies Through Self-Directed Learning

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session will explain what Utah Microcredentials are, how to earn them, and why you want them. We’ll also highlight the new AI, Ed Tech Endorsement, and CTE Endorsement microcredentials. At the end of the session, we’ll help you start earning your first microcredential! Each Utah Microcredential is worth 0.5 USBE credits. Educators are self-directed learners who continually develop new skills and find innovative ways to improve their practice. The Utah Microcredentials System recognizes this and provides educators with an opportunity to earn USBE credits for this self-directed professional learning. Additionally, you can now use microcredentials to earn USBE teaching endorsements! APPEL teachers can also use microcredentials to fulfill their competencies! Please bring a device you can use to access MIDAS and start working on a microcredential (Your smartphone should work).
