"Artful Minds" aims to transform your classroom instruction by harnessing the power of visual arts to not only deepen academic understanding but also to cultivate essential executive functioning skills. We will be using visual art techniques, like perspective, shape, line, and color, to engage students in core curriculum areas and introduce visual notetaking as a way to boost comprehension and memory. You will also learn to provide students explicit instruction and practice with executive functioning skills like planning, organizing, and flexibility.
