Davis School District R&R Conference 2024

Come learn about the Discovery Program! This program was developed in Fort Collins Colorado by Eric Larsen, M.Ed, and is intended as a intervention for low attending and low credit earning students. These students have been in and out of school for various reasons and the Discovery Program helps build bridges for students to return to the classroom. In this program we teach 6 life skills over a term: Group Work, Anger Management, Effective Communication, Assertiveness Training, Problem Solving, and Conflict Resolution. We teach students how to take accountability for their academics, how to be assertive in advocating for themselves and how to communicate with others at school, work and home. Come hear the experiences from past Disco students and their time in the program. Come learn a few new techniques or learn more information to bring Discovery to your school.
