Carly Maloney, 2024 Utah Teacher of the Year, talks about the power of building connections in and out of the classroom! She tells her story of those who have built connections with her throughout her life to help her become the teacher she is today! Carly has a saying on her wall: "Grow through what you go through." She discusses ways in which she has helped her students to grow through growing connections. Carly gives strategies and examples for educators in building connections with their students and helping their students to build connections with each other and the community in which they live.
