The New Art and Science of Teaching (2017) continues the work of Marzano's previous Art and Science of Teaching he published in 2007. With the new version, Marzano has created a Model of Instruction that introduces educators to three categories, ten design areas, and forty-three elements or strategies that teachers can use to meet the needs of their students. When we have a clear focus on what we want students to learn, how they can learn it, and then respond with appropriate interventions to meet their needs, we will help students find success. This Model of Instruction also allows teams the ability to increase instructional competence and to coordinate efforts.
