Teacher attendees will drive this session. While the laws are the laws, everything else is meant for the educator to feel empowered to know how to teach content in a way that invites students to engage with their learning in a meaningful and authentic way. After researching and addressing laws that can add challenges to our teaching, I will demonstrate how issues arise in the classroom. I will help model pedagogy that allows for students to interact with content in a lawful manner. Through group discussions and individual interactions, we will test out pedagogical strategies that will aid you in cultivating confidence within yourself to navigate hard topics. Also, I will be available for follow-up consultation for any specific questions you may have after the session.
